Account Deletion Policy

Version 1.0.0 Active
Effective: 27 June 2026
Last Updated: 27 June 2026
Operator: CloudStry Technologies Private Limited

This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can request deletion of your Rathore Sangam account, what happens at each stage of the deletion process, what data is permanently removed, and what limited data may be retained for legal or security purposes.

This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the App. In the event of any inconsistency, those documents take precedence.

1. Purpose

Rathore Sangam is committed to respecting your right to control your personal data. This Policy provides clear, complete information about the account deletion process so that you can make an informed decision before requesting deletion of your account and associated data.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all registered users of the Rathore Sangam mobile application (Android and iOS) and any associated website, operated by Cloudstry Technologies Private Limited.

It covers:

  • The deletion of your user account
  • The deletion of all content you have created on the App (matrimony profiles, business listings, events, news posts, comments, and replies)
  • The deletion of all media files (photographs and images) you have uploaded
  • The recovery period available to you before deletion becomes permanent
  • Data that may be retained after deletion for legal or security purposes

3. Who Can Request Account Deletion

Any registered user of Rathore Sangam may request deletion of their account at any time. There is no minimum usage period, and no reason is required.

To be eligible to submit a deletion request, you must have an active account — that is, an account that has not already been permanently deleted.

4. How to Request Account Deletion

You may request account deletion in either of the following ways:

4.1 Through the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Rathore Sangam app and ensure you are signed in.
  2. Open the navigation drawer and tap My Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the My Profile screen and tap Delete My Account.
  4. Review the confirmation message, then confirm your decision.

Your deletion request is submitted immediately upon confirmation.

4.2 By Contacting Support

If you are unable to access the App, you may request account deletion by contacting us directly:

Email: info@cloudstry.com

Phone: +91 87704 02398

Please include the mobile number registered to your account so that we can locate and process your request. We will respond and process your request in accordance with this Policy.

5. Verification Before Deletion

Because Rathore Sangam uses OTP-based authentication (there are no passwords), your identity is already verified by your signed-in session when you submit a deletion request through the App. No separate verification step is required for in-app requests.

For deletion requests submitted by email or phone, we may ask you to verify ownership of the registered mobile number before processing your request.

6. What Happens Immediately After Your Request

Once your deletion request is submitted and confirmed:

  1. Your account is marked for deletion. The 7-day recovery period begins immediately (see Section 7).
  2. Your profile and content become unavailable. Other registered users can no longer view, search for, or contact you through the App. Your matrimony profile, business listings, events, news posts, and associated contact details are removed from all views within the App.
  3. All active sessions are revoked. All devices on which you were signed in are immediately signed out. You will need to log back in via OTP if you wish to cancel the deletion during the recovery period.
  4. You will see a confirmation notice in the App stating that your account will be permanently deleted in 7 days, and that you may cancel by logging in again within that window.

7. The 7-Day Recovery Period

To protect against accidental or unauthorized deletion requests, your account enters a 7-day recovery period after you submit a deletion request. During this period:

  • Your data is retained in full and is not permanently deleted.
  • Your profile and content remain unavailable to other users.
  • You cannot use the App or access your account for normal use.

7.1 How to Cancel a Deletion Request

If you change your mind, you may cancel your deletion request at any time within the 7-day recovery period by logging back in to the App using your registered mobile number and OTP.

Upon successful login during the recovery period:

  • Your deletion request is cancelled automatically.
  • Your account is fully restored.
  • Your profile and content become visible to other users again in accordance with your previous visibility settings.
  • You will see a notification confirming that your account deletion has been cancelled.

7.2 What Happens If You Do Not Cancel

If you do not log back in within 7 days of your deletion request, the recovery period expires and your account proceeds to permanent deletion as described in Section 8.

Once permanent deletion has occurred, your account and data cannot be recovered.

8. Permanent Deletion — What Is Removed

After the 7-day recovery period expires without cancellation, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted. This includes:

8.1 Account and Personal Information

  • Your full name, mobile number, email address (if provided), and preferred language
  • Your account record, login history, and authentication session records
  • Records of your consent and privacy-control preferences

8.2 Matrimony Profile Information

All matrimony profile data you entered, including personal details, family information, educational and professional details, astrological information, bio, address, and contact number stored in the profile.

8.3 Business Listings

All business listings you created, including business name, description, contact details, location, hours, and all associated business images.

8.4 Event Listings

All event listings you created, including event details, location, description, and associated event images.

8.5 News Posts

All news posts you created, including headlines, descriptions, source details, and associated news images.

8.6 Comments and Replies

All comments and replies you posted on any profile, business listing, event, or news post within the App are permanently deleted.

8.7 Media Files

All photographs and images you uploaded to the App — including profile photos, business images, event images, and news images — are permanently deleted from our cloud storage provider. Image files are not merely hidden; they are removed from storage.

8.8 Engagement Data

Your likes, favourites, and other engagement activity associated with your account are removed as part of the deletion process.

9. Data That May Be Retained After Deletion

We may retain limited information after your account is permanently deleted where this is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation under applicable Indian law or a valid order from a government or regulatory authority.
  • Resolve an active dispute involving your account.
  • Enforce our agreements, including action taken against violations of our Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines that occurred prior to deletion.
  • Maintain security and audit records, including standard server access logs (such as API request timestamps and response status codes) that our backend systems generate as part of normal operation. These technical logs are retained for security and troubleshooting purposes and are not linked to active accounts after deletion.

Any data retained under this Section is held only for as long as the applicable obligation or purpose requires, and is not used for any other purpose.

10. Deleting Individual Content Without Deleting Your Account

You do not need to delete your entire account to remove specific content. You may delete individual items at any time through the My Profile screen in the navigation drawer:

  • Matrimony Profiles — tap the delete icon on any profile you have created.
  • Business Listings — tap the delete icon on any business listing you have created.
  • Events — tap the delete icon on any event listing you have created.
  • News Posts — tap the delete icon on any news post you have created.

When you delete an individual item, it is removed from the App immediately and the associated media files (photographs) are permanently deleted from our cloud storage. A confirmation dialog will appear before each deletion.

Deleting individual items does not delete your account. Your account and remaining content continue to exist.

11. Third-Party Services

Rathore Sangam relies on the following third-party service providers, whose involvement is relevant to account deletion:

11.1 Cloud Object Storage (AWS S3 or S3-Compatible Storage)

Your uploaded photographs and images are stored with our cloud storage provider. When your account is permanently deleted, or when you delete individual content items, the corresponding image files are deleted from this storage. We do not retain orphaned copies of removed images.

11.2 OTP / SMS Verification Provider

Your mobile number is passed to our OTP provider to send and verify one-time passcodes during login (including when you log in to cancel a deletion request). Deletion of your account from Rathore Sangam does not delete records held independently by the OTP provider under its own terms. We pass only your mobile number for the purpose of verification.

11.3 Database Hosting

Your account and content data is hosted on our database infrastructure. Upon permanent deletion, your data is removed from this infrastructure as described in Section 8.

12. Your Responsibilities Before Requesting Deletion

Before submitting an account deletion request, please be aware of the following:

  • Deletion is irreversible after 7 days. Once the recovery period expires, your account, content, and media cannot be restored. Take time to consider whether you wish to proceed.
  • Download any information you want to keep. We do not currently offer a self-serve data export feature. If you wish to retain copies of photos or other information from your profile or listings, save them from the App before submitting your deletion request.
  • Inform relevant parties. If other community members have been communicating with you or relying on your business listing or profile, consider informing them before your content becomes unavailable.
  • One account per person. Our Terms and Conditions prohibit creating multiple accounts. If you delete your account and later wish to use the App again, you may register a new account. However, you may not create a new account to evade an enforcement action taken against a previous account.
  • Stopping use without deleting. If you wish to stop using the App without permanently deleting your data, you may simply stop logging in. Your data will be retained unless and until you submit a formal deletion request. Session tokens expire after 7 days of inactivity, but your account and data remain intact.

13. Privacy and Consent

Requesting account deletion is also the means by which you may withdraw your consent to further processing of your personal data by Rathore Sangam, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 11).

Please note that withdrawing consent through account deletion will result in the App being unusable for you, since its core features depend on the data collected at registration and through your profile and content activity.

Your rights under applicable Indian data protection law, including the right to access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal of consent, are described fully in Section 19 of our Privacy Policy. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 14 of this Policy.

14. Exceptions

14.1 Accounts Suspended or Terminated by Us

If your account has been suspended or terminated by us for a violation of our Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines, you may not be able to submit a deletion request through the App. In such cases, please contact us directly using the details in Section 15 to request deletion of your personal data.

14.2 Minors

Rathore Sangam requires users to be at least 18 years of age. If we become aware that an account belongs to a user under 18, we will delete that account and its data without requiring a deletion request. If you believe a minor has registered on the App, please contact us immediately.

14.3 Legal Holds

Where we are required by law, court order, or regulatory obligation to retain specific data relating to your account, we will retain only what is required and only for the period required, even if you request deletion. We will inform you of any such requirement to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Policy Updates

We may update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features, our data practices, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

This Account Deletion Policy is aligned with the Google Play Store account deletion requirements (which require that users be able to request account and data deletion both in-app and through a web or contact-based method), and with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (which require that apps offering account creation also offer in-app account deletion). It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication to confirm consistency with your registered legal entity details, Grievance Officer information, and governing-law jurisdiction, and to verify that the technical deletion implementation is fully consistent with the commitments described in this document.
