Delete Your Account

Step-by-step guide to deleting your Rathore Sangam account and understanding what happens to your data.

Recommended Delete via the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the Rathore Sangam app.

  1. Open the app and sign in

    Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete. If you have been signed out, enter your registered mobile number and verify with the OTP sent to you.

  2. Open the navigation drawer

    Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the screen to open the navigation drawer.

  3. Go to My Profile

    Tap My Profile in the navigation drawer to open your profile management screen.

  4. Tap "Delete My Account"

    Scroll to the bottom of the My Profile screen and tap Delete My Account.

  5. Confirm your decision

    A confirmation dialog will appear explaining what will be deleted. Read it carefully, then confirm to submit your deletion request.

  6. Your request is submitted

    Your account is immediately marked for deletion. You will be signed out of all devices. The 7-day recovery period begins now.

7-Day Recovery Window

After submitting your request, you have 7 days to change your mind. During this period your profile is hidden from other users but your data is not yet deleted.

To cancel: Simply open the app and sign in with your registered mobile number and OTP. Your deletion request will be cancelled automatically and your account will be fully restored.

If you do not log back in within 7 days, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted.

If you cannot access the app to submit a deletion request, you can contact us directly:

  2. Include your registered mobile number

    In your message, include the mobile number that is registered to your Rathore Sangam account. This is how we locate your account. We may ask you to verify ownership of the number before processing your request.

  3. We process your request

    Once we verify your identity, we will delete your account and all associated data. We will confirm deletion by email or phone once complete.

What Gets Permanently Deleted

After the 7-day recovery period expires, the following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:

  • Your account record, mobile number, and personal information
  • All matrimony profiles you created, including all associated photos
  • All business listings you created, including all associated images
  • All event listings you created, including all associated images
  • All news posts you created, including all associated images
  • All comments and replies you posted
  • Your engagement data (likes, favourites)
  • All uploaded photos and images from our cloud storage
  • Your consent records and privacy preference settings

What May Be Retained

We may retain limited information after deletion only where legally required — for example, to comply with a court order, resolve an active dispute, or maintain minimal security logs. Any retained data is held only for as long as the obligation requires and used for no other purpose.

Deleting Individual Content (Without Deleting Your Account)

You do not need to delete your entire account to remove specific content. In the My Profile screen you can delete individual items:

  • Matrimony profiles — tap the delete icon on any profile you created
  • Business listings — tap the delete icon on any listing you created
  • Event listings — tap the delete icon on any event you created
  • News posts — tap the delete icon on any post you created

Individual item deletion is immediate and permanent. A confirmation dialog appears before each deletion. Associated media files (photos) are permanently removed from cloud storage.
